Senior researcher, Bornholm,PhD, research & analysis

Research and analysis in rural development, sustainability, network, innovation and entrepreneurship and citizen involvement.

How Rikke describes her work
“I work with research and analyses in rural development, sustainability, networks, innovation and entrepreneurship, citizen involvement and natural resource management.

Born and raised in a rural area, while very young I became interested in inequality and development – first in an international setting and later in Denmark and the Nordic countries. I am interested in opportunities, improvements, strengths – and the creation of equal opportunities through the way different institutions function. My education as a Human Geographer has strengthened my analytical skills and given me the tools to understand spatial interaction between humans and between humans and nature, whether at a local or an international level.”
