Regional economic importance of fisheries

CRT, on the initiative of the Ministry of Food and Beverages, has assessed the socio-economic importance of fisheries. In establishing the direct importance of fisheries, the regionalised national accounts of Statistics Denmark and the accounting statistics for the share of fisheries in wholesale and retail trade are taken as a basis. The CRT's regional economic model SAM-K/LINE® is used for the calculation of the derivational significance of fisheries.
