Bio
My research field is economic and human geography with a special attention to industrial development and innovation in rural and peripheral areas. As researcher for many years, I have a profound knowledge about the ever-ongoing development of technologies, modes of production, and industries, as well as about the causes and drivers behind the evolution of different types of regions and local communities. I am interested in the interplay between the unique identity and circumstances characterizing any place and externally induced demands of change, such as the present marked-based and political demands about green transition.
As researcher in an institution for applied research, I also have a natural interest and knowledge on the possibilities to influence regional development trends through institutions and politics within areas such as business promotion, innovation, research, education and labor market planning.
