National Centre for Green Energy - Testø
CRT has analysed the potential to further develop Bornholm as a test island for green energy, technology and innovation. DKK 27 million from the Danish Enterprise Promotion Authority for Bornholm has, through the project National Centre for Green Energy, made it possible to explore the possibilities of making the island a national hub for knowledge about green energy, technology development, innovation, sustainability and a pioneer in green business development.Focus in the test island analysis is to provide insight into and provide perspectives on how Bornholm can develop its position as a internationally leading test environment — a test island — for green energy, technology and innovation in connection with the establishment and realisation of Energiø Bornholm. This is investigated by delving into relevant theory from the research on test island-like concepts and the development of new green business areas in peripheral areas such as Bornholm. In addition, the history of Bornholm's test island is also described with special focus on the contents of the test island up to now and the experiences that have arisen in this connection. It also outlines the views of three local and national actors on the further development of Bornholm as a test island, and maps and analyses two areas in Denmark that today serve as development areas for green technology and innovation based on renewable energy forms. This has led to a number of conclusions, assessments and recommendations for use in the future test island work on Bornholm. The result has been published in a project report. As part of the project, CRT's task has been to carry out an analysis of Bornholm as a test island, Testø 2.0, which can be downloaded here:Testø - pixie editionTestø - reportOnepager: Test Island Analysis - Part 1 Important Concepts_FinalOnepager: Test Island Analysis - Part 2 Three Scenarios_Final
