Our research projects provide new knowledge relevant to both the academic community and for decision-makers in public institutions, as well as business and community actors.
Most of our research projects combine qualitative and quantitative methods and data.
Our research interests and projects are characterized by close contact with local stakeholders, ensuring that the projects are relevant and application-oriented.
Some research projects are instigated and conducted independently by us, while others are part of larger national and international research collaborations.
Analyses and research projects at CRT inform and enrich each other. Our analyses are demand-driven, providing application-oriented knowledge to relevant stakeholders.
This interaction between analysis and research work gives us an opportunity to stay current and contribute to new knowledge trends, while allowing us to frame emerging issues and knowledge needs within a broader theoretical framework.
We use both qualitative and quantitative methods to describe, understand and explain patterns and changes in the work we engage with.
Our work is project-based. Societal agendas and theoretical understandings of them have shifted many times during CRT’s 30-year history.
